If you’ve shopped for juicers on Amazon, you know they come in a wide range of prices. More established brands like Omega and Breville tend to be more expensive. Newer, Amazon-only brands tend to be much more affordable.
If you are new to juicing, you may want to try out an inexpensive introductory juicer before you splurge on an expensive model. That’s why we decided to do this AMZCHEF slow juicer review.
We thought we’d review one of the more affordable juicers to see if they even deserve consideration. So we selected the Professional Juice Machine (Model #ZM1501) by AMXCHEF.
AZNCHEF is a relatively new brand of kitchen and home appliances. The brand’s slow juicer (ZM1501) is the flagship product of the brand.
The AMZCHEF Slow Juicer is a versatile juicer capable of processing a wide variety of foods. JuicingJournal is highly impressed by the performance of the ZM1501, especially for the price point. The unit processed carrots and oranges quickly and efficiently. The versatile juicer performed equally well with course and pulpy fruits alike.
- Light Weight–The AMZCHEF Slow Juicer weighs 9.5 pounds and is significantly lighter than other slow masticating juicers on the market.
- Compact Design – The ZM1501 is small and can be easily stored on shelves or in cabinets.

Is the AMZCHEF Slow Juicer easy to use?
The AMZCHEF Slow Juicer is a basic slow-masticating juicer that is simple to use. To use, assemble the seven required pieces, and you are ready to go! It took the JuicingJournal staff less than two minutes to fully assemble the unit for the first time.
We love the lightweight nature of the unit compared to other slow-masticating juicers. Heavier units are difficult to store and transport. You’ll need to store the unit fully assembled. Unassembled, the device takes up more shelf and cabinet space. Plus, you might lose a part!
Narrow Chute Width
We found that one thing that complicates the ZM1501 model is the narrow infeed tube. Note: this is typical for most masticating juicers.
Larger fruits and vegetables will need to be cut into smaller pieces to accommodate the little chute.
Longer foods, such as carrots and celery, are no problem. Round and oblong foods will need to be prepared before juicing. The unit is sold with a plunger to help alleviate clogging and jamming.
Cleaning the AMZCHEF ZM1501
No AMZCHEF slow juicer review is complete without describing how hard or easy it is to clean. The good news is the ZM1501 is ease to clean! The unit breaks down in less than one minute. All of the components of the juicer are dishwasher safe. The unit is sold with a handy brush that makes cleaning the screen and other parts a breeze.
You’ll need to clean your juicer as soon as you finish juicing. Traditional dish soap cleans and sanitizes juicer components. High heat may cause damage to or weaken plastic components over time. So I’d recommend not places juicer components in your dishwasher.
How Good of a Juicer is the AMZCHEF?
The juicer produced quality juice in the trials I conducted. Actually, I was rather pleased with the quality and quantity of juice extracted from the machine!
Juice Test
I decided to conduct two tests: carrots and oranges. I went with those two because they are both the extreme: a hard vegetable and a soft, fleshy fruit.
The Carrot Juice Test
The team juiced three full-sized carrots that yielded approximately 100ml, or .5 of a cup. The yield of .5 of a cup is standard for slow juicers. The juice was reasonably free of pulp and debris. The carrot pulp was dry and compact when ejected from the juicer. The AMZCHEF Slow Juicer performed remarkably well while juicing course vegetables.
Non-Juicing Functionality
The ZM1501 features two additional attachments that expand its operating ability:
Grater and Slicer attachment
The Grater and Slicer attachment offer three different blades for:
- Slicing
- Shredding
- Grating
The highly efficient rotary blades can quickly slice or grate cheeses and vegetables with very little work.
Metal Food Grinder Attachments
The metal food grinder attachments allow the user to make everything from hamburgers to sausages with their juicer! The package includes grinding blades, tubes, plates, a meat pusher, and a cleaning brush. The device grinds meat in coarse, medium, and fine consistencies.
The added ability to turn the AMZCHEF Slow Juicer into a shredder/grater and meat grinder is a tremendous added value!
Is the AMZCHEF Slow Juicer ZM1501 worth it?
As far as masticating slow juicers go, the AMZCHEF Slow Juicer ZM1501 is a fantastic entry-level juicer. If you are new to juicing or will not juice frequently, you should consider the ZM1501. JuicingJournal would recommend this entry-level juicer to anyone wanting to dip their toe into juicing.
The unit is highly efficient in juicing coarser vegetables and foods. The price point is perfect for a beginner juicer. The ZM1501 is backed by a 2-year limited manufacturer warranty and is relatively cheap in the world of juicing equipment.
Don’t let the cost of a juicer stop you from exploring the health benefits of juicing, and check out the AMZCHEF Slow Juicer ZM1501!
